Campus lodging will be in Helaman Halls. Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31. Rooms are double occupancy (you will be paired up with another Organ Workshop attendee) and include lodging the nights of Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4. Check-out is before 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5. Bed and bath linen are provided. Central bath facilities are shared by all participants staying on the floor. Some suggested items to bring include alarm clock, bar soap (if you prefer large bars), shampoo, slippers, bathrobe, drinking cup and any additional blankets/pillows you may require. Laundry facilities and a TV lounge are also available. Cooking facilities will not be available. Note: residents will be billed $30 (lock replacement fee) if they leave BYU without returning their rooms keys.
There is parking for personal vehicles located close to the halls. Our shuttle vans will make a stop in the small lot east of Building 25 on its way to the Harris Fine Arts Center in the mornings. You can also call the van as needed (number available soon) at other times.
Housing for married couples is not available in the residence halls but can be obtained at local hotels/motels. See www.utahvalley.com for locations and availability.
Married couples or participants who cannot manage dormitory rooms can inquire about hotel rooms blocked off at the Courtyard by Marriott on 1600 North Freedom Blvd. in Provo. Check–in is on Monday, July 31 after 3:00 p.m. and check out on Saturday, August 5 before 12 noon. Rates are $99 a night plus tax and rooms can sleep 2-3. The hotel has a complimentary local shuttle which can take you to the BYU campus. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain specific details and to register under the workshop room block. Please make your reservations early as the room block fills up and any unused rooms will be returned to the hotel on June 30.
The workshop is open to women and men age 18 and older. Many of the classes are hands-on and require full concentration. Infants, including nursing babies and young children, will not be admitted to workshop sessions. Residence halls also are not equipped to accommodate young children.
Workshop participants may eat at any cafeteria or food outlet on campus and pay by check, cash, or major credit card. The following are the most conveniently located to workshop classes:
