Salt Lake International Airport (SLC)

Provo is located 45 miles south of the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Rental Cars, Taxis, and Ride Sharing

Salt Lake International Airport has a large selection of rental car agencies. Taxis are available but are not recommended due to cost. Popular ride sharing services are also available.

Shuttle Services

Express Shuttle is a commercial van shuttle service that will take you from the airport to Provo and back. Cost is approximately $27–$36 one way for the first person and $11 for each additional person in the same party. Call 1-800-397-0773 or go online for reservations, at least 24 hours in advance. Please have your flight number and itinerary handy. The shuttle can take you directly to BYU, a hotel, or a private residence.

Public Transit

Utah Transit Authority (UTA) offers semi-convenient and affordable light-rail (TRAX) and commuter rail (FrontRunner) service from the airport to near downtown Provo. For transportation from Provo Central Station to BYU, an option is Yellow Cab of Provo (801-377-7070), or your choice of ride sharing services. Please note that commuter rail service does not run on Sundays.

Provo Municipal Airport (PVU)

Allegiant Airlines now has flights between Provo and Phoenix/Mesa, Oakland/San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Visit their website to check flight times and schedules.
